True crime author Sherrie Lueder to write the story about the international multi-layered crime spree and murder of Clifford Lambert that continues to captivate the San Francisco Bay Area and Coachella Valley

[For Immediate Release]

UNITED STATES--Tuesday, March 20, 2012--The bizarre twists and turns of an international crime spree and murder by a master criminal enterprise, a/k/a "The Dark Prince" and his "gang of gay grifters" continues to captivate the San Francisco Bay area and Coachella Valley. California Attorney General Kamala Harris claimed even Hollywood could not make this up.

This enthralling story has a cast of characters drawn from the San Francisco gay social scene including a Nepalese immigrant claiming to be royalty with connections to Columbian drug cartel, and the Russians. Among the alleged brazen cons is a sex scandal involving a once famed San Francisco stockbroker and impoverished under aged Mexican boys, collapse of a college, forgery and theft involving a Japanese tourist, art scheme, jewel heist, stolen identity that leads to hitting the jackpot in Las Vegas, and real estate schemes involving millions. If that's not juicy enough, throw in the comspiracy and murder case of once-prominent Los Angeles art dealer, Clifford Lambert--an older rich, lonely gay man and reputed confidant of Palm Springs society divas, who craved the attention of younger men. Two of the grifters are now spending life sentences behind bars for his murder, while two others (representing themselves) remain in jail waiting trial, which is set to begin in May. Oh--and not to be forgotten--one of those Defendants has a list of 266 potential witnesses he plans to subpoena for trial--which includes Hollywood's own Zsa Zsa Gabor, Oliver Stone, Stone's mother, and other witnesses hailing from Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, and Beverly Hills. It has all the makings of an intriguing true crime book and Hollywood movie.

And now, the story will become just that: Two-time award winning and Best Selling Writer Sherrie Lueder—whose debut novel “HE KILLED OUR JANNY”: A Family’s Search for the Truth was recognized as Best of the Best 2011 by True Crime Book Reviews--plans to publish a book detailing the murder case and international crime spree involving alleged ring leader Kaushal Niroula, a/k/a The Dark Prince, and his gang of gay grifters—an attorney once heralded as an international crusader fighting sexual abuse, handsome Castro District bartender, good looking boyish lover, art consultant, and former ex-marine turned “jailhouse rat” and witness for the prosecution.

Lueder confirmed that she and her literary team, investigative researchers Dawn Martinez of Las Vegas and Kim Hansen of Gilbert, Arizona, have been working closely with a couple of  the victims for the past several weeks. Lueder said, “This book will go beyond the headlines.” The project has piqued the interest of an A-List Hollywood Talent and Entertainment Agency, who has been speaking with Lueder and her team about a possible book to film deal. The agent has requested the full manuscript as soon as it is finished. However, Lueder has not committed to an exclusive with the agent, or any other agent, as of today’s announcement, and will continue to explore her options. The manuscript is expected to be completed early 2013.

Lueder’s literary career began when one of her poems, "A Tribute to Mom,” was published in a local newspaper (The Lake Park News on Dec. 29, 1979) and later appeared in Eddie-Lou Cole's "Anthology of Great Poems." She grew up in northwest Iowa and loved spending her summers near the water. She enjoyed long days of lounging on the beach, reading mystery novels, and writing poetry. After meeting her husband, she settled in his home state of Wisconsin.

Lueder’s first true crime book debuted in September 2011, “HE KILLED OUR JANNY”: A Family’s Search for the Truth, the 1984 cold case of Janyce Hansen, Aurora, Colorado. Fueled by the frustration of decades of a criminal cover-up, Janyce’s son and daughter, along with Lueder and investigative researcher Kim Hansen, go forth to unravel the truth into her death with their own investigation. They spent over three years researching, interviewing, and writing about the abuse and mysterious death of Janyce Hansen, which led them into a battle against Colorado officials. Lueder said, “It was an amazing education on law enforcement, the judicial system, and steps to follow in seeking justice for loved ones.”

Lueder plans to continue digging into sensational cases, pulling all the evidence together, doing her best to answer all the questions, while keeping an open mind.

Lueder and her literary team would like to hear from you. If you know any individuals or victims in any of these cases, please email ps.lets.talk@gmail.com
