"He Killed Our Janny" is one of the most impactful true crime stories of our time according to True Crime Book Reviews (http://truecrimebookreviews.com)./

For those reading about 'He Killed Our Janny' for the first time, the book details a son and daughter's painful memories deeply expressed, and their fight for survival. Fueled by transcendent memories and decades of cover-up, the siblings unravel the truth. Then-children John and Jill grew up in an abusive and intensely arresting home in the suburbs of Denver.

The book outlines the siblings' own investigation into their Mother's mysterious death, Janyce "Janny"
Hansen, and chronicles their valiant pursuit of justice. Their story is told to, and brilliantly put together by bestselling author, Sherrie Lueder. At the time of her death, Janyce Hansen was a former top model. She, along with her husband, Richard and children lived in an upscale home in the suburbs. Publicly, the Hansens were a well-respected, affluent, glamorous family living in Denver, Colorado. But behind closed doors, dark secrets were kept.

Janyce was physically and mentally abused by her husband and struggled with letting go. Richard was a family man who covertly operated gambling and prostitution businesses from the family home. Shaping the order of their existence, Richard terrified, beat, and sexually assaulted his adopted children, and reportedly murdered his wife.

Credit for incorporating criminal and justice records, and purposed evidence of murder research is given to Lueder's sister, Kim Taarud Hansen of Arizona.
